Having fun with colour!

I have been having a great time hand making these little polymer beads in lots of delicious summer colours. They are strung on silk thread ($45) or sterling silver chain ($55).

I am not attending any markets this year because I have recently purchased Arbor in Brunswick, one of the stores I have been stocking for a number of years!! www.arborjewels.com.au

Most of my styles are available in my Brunswick store, otherwise they can be ordered and picked up or posted out.

ALSO, I have a new silver range that I will let you know about really soon!

Rose Street Markets

Hi!

I have been at the Rose Street Markets for a couple of Saturdays now and it has been lovely! I will be there for the next three Saturdays as well. There is a great vibe and a little cafe called Kanteen selling coffee and home made yummies.

Here are some photos of my stall...

Some new designs...

Here are some designs I have been working on today in the studio. I sometimes like to move away from precious metals and play with non-precious chain, stones and random beads I have found along the way. Today I used some bits and pieces I had picked up in Cairns when I lived there in 2002/2003 - so yes, I am a collector - but you never know when something might come in handy...

Some new designs...

Well, I have finally figured out what makes me most happy - bashing metal. So, here are a few of my latest pieces...

Also, I am now stocking a fabulous shop in Daylesford called Can't Think Straight. Run by the gorgeous Mim and her partner Tiana they stock lots of green/recycled accessories and art made by LGBTIQ artists. Check out their website!

Nicholas Building Open Studios

The Nicholas Building (where I am fortunately located) Open Studios on 19 & 20 August was a great success! We had lots of people come through and I had been working very hard to make some special pieces for the event.

Arni Paras, one of my favourite under-discovered Melbs jewellers also came on board and displayed some of his gorgeous handcrafted pieces...the drop earrings got A LOT of attention! See this link for some pics.

On the way to the studio on Thursday I came across a little Italian man in Brunswick pruning his fruit trees...so I managed to wangle a few branches which made a pretty nice spring display!

My lovely man made sure I was well fed in all the craziness, bringing pizza all the way from Bundoora on Friday night.
